We're delighted to welcome willow artist Jenny from Making Space to Make and we invite you to join us for this wonderful day course at Mill Cross retreats and discover beautiful and sustainable ways to work with willow. You'll spend the morning learning about the ancient craft of willow weaving to weave your own birdfeeder/lemon holder, then, after a delicious woodfired pizza lunch made by our hosts Emma and Kevin, you will learn how to weave a Scandi-style Christmas star in locally grown willows, Time allowing there will be a chance to make some mini willow bark stars or little decorative willow Christmas trees, perfect for gift wrapping or to keep all for yourself. These sustainable decorations can be enjoyed for years to come or, if you can bear to give them away, they make lovely unique gifts. A fun and interactive making day for all in a lovely relaxing environment. We will be looked after all day with delicious organic food and drink so do join us to take time out to learn a new skill or add to your previous experience, relax and recharge your batteries. All materials, expert tuition, delicious organic drinks, cakes and wood fired pizza lunch are included to make this a perfect making retreat! £100 pp
